An award-wining energy and infrastructure specialist, and global markets commentator, Rolake has more than 15 years track-record of helping to finance and scale businesses across Africa. She is currently the Chief Commercial Officer for Mixta Africa, covering commercial and market-entry strategies for one of Africa’s leading infrastructure developers across Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Tunisia, Morroco, and Ethiopia.
She was the Senior Advisor to IFU, the Danish Investment Fund and global advisory board member at Canadian Private Equity firm, Stonechair Capital. From 2014 – 2019 she was head of energy for FBN Capital/FBNQuest the investment banking arm of Nigeria’s largest financial services group. She was head of the energy research team across 33 African countries for pan-African Ecobank Group in London. She has previously been a Senior Africa Analyst with Eurasia Group and Control Risks Group, two leading global political risk consultancies. She has previously been a guest reviewer of global news headlines on BBC World News, and features as an expert commentator on CNN Anchor’s Zain Asher’s One World program.
Rolake is an engaging speaker and commentator, able to distil complex topics on global economy, markets contemporary society and business in a simple and concise manner to a wide and diverse audience. She has a BSc in Government & MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE), as well as Global Executive MBA degree from TRIUM.
She is also a passionate and classically-trained pianist, who diversified her musical interests into jazz and folk music as a teenager.
