PUMLA DINEO GQOLA

Pumla Dineo Gqola is a feminist author and Professor of Literary and Cultural Studies. She is SARChI Chair in African Feminist Imagination at the Nelson Mandela University in South Africa. Her non-fiction books include _Rape: A South African Nightmare_, which was awarded the 2016 Sunday Times Alan Paton Award for Non-Fiction, _A Renegade Called Simphiwe_ , _Reflecting Rogue: Inside the Mind of a Feminist_, and most recently _Female Fear Factory_. Her academic books are _What is slavery to me? Postcolonial/Slave Memory in Post-apartheid South Africa_ published by Wits Press in 2010, and _Miriam Tlali: Writing Freedom_, on the South African Black feminist author and literary activist. She holds MA degrees from the Universities of Cape Town (RSA) and Warwick (UK), and a doctorate in Postcolonial Studies from the University of Munich, Germany.
