I am Nnamdi Ehirim, a Nigerian writer based in Lagos. My short stories, articles and essays have appeared in Afreada, Arts & Africa, Brittle Paper, Catapult Magazine, Electric Literature, Kalahari Review, The Republic Journal, The Guardian Nigeria, LitHub and Litro.
My debut novel, a coming-of-age and political work of fiction titled Prince of Monkeys, was published by CounterPoint Press in 2019 to positive reviews in ESSENCE Magazine, the New York Times, NYLON, Pacific Standard and many other publications. Prince of Monkeys was also longlisted for the VCU Cabell First Novel Prize and nominated for The Future Awards Africa 2020 Prize for Literature.
