FATOUMATA SISSI NGOM

Fatoumata Ngom is a Senegalese writer, climate policy analyst, computer sciences and financial mathematics engineer and artist. She was born in Dakar and moved to Paris to complete higher education in mathematics and physics.

After a first career in actuarial science, she completed a master in public policy and economics at Sciences Po Paris.

Afterwards, she has worked in an International Organisation, on climate action and inclusive economic growth, and is an author of policy reports.

She published her first novel, “Le silence du totem” (Harmattan, 2018), on restitution of African artefacts, the story taking place at the Quai Branly museum. She is a key contributor in the current debate. She also published a short story, “La tragédie des horizons”, in the Revue Apulée (Zulma Editions, 2020), on environmental justice in the Global South. She is a member of the Francophone commission of French Pen Club.
